Eucharist, a sacrament of initiation, joins us most fully to Christ and to the Church. We share in the one sacrifice of Christ. The bread and wine become the BODY and BLOOD OF CHRIST through the power of the Holy Spirit and the words of the priest. We receive the Body and Blood of Christ. |
For the children in the Faith Formation Program, First Eucharist is celebrated in grades 3 and up. The children are prepared by their parents (and the director of Faith Formation) for this sacrament. First Eucharist for adults is part of the RCIA Process. |
